Set the general parameters for the Anywhere apps. These parameters define, for example, how Anywhere apps use barcodes and product dimensions.

Standard procedure

1. Click Mobility management.
2. Click Anywhere app parameters.
3. Sub-task: Set common parameters.
3.1 With the unit calculator, you can register quantities in a different unit of measure, if set up in D365 FO. For example, you can receive items in boxes instead of pieces.
You can enable the unit calculator for use in Anywhere processes. As a result, for the applicable processes, a Unit calc. button is available to calculate the units.
Select Yes in the Enable unit calculator field.
3.2 SSRS reports, printed from an Anywhere app, are run in batch. If an SSRS report is printed, a batch job is created automatically. Define the batch group to which the batch job must be linked.
In the Batch group field, enter or select a value.
3.3 Define the execution mode for the defined batch group.
In the Service operation execution mode field, select an option.
4. Sub-task: Set barcode parameters.
4.1 You can enter the default warehouse/location separator in barcodes. If the location is unique, you can do without this separator.
In the Location separator character field, type a value.

Note: This separator must be different from the one that you use in locations. For example, if you set locations with the format “XX-YY”, you cannot use the “–“ as a separator in this field.

4.2 If you use GS1 type barcodes, you can get quantities from these barcodes.
Select Yes in the Get quantity from barcode field.
5. Sub-task: Set product dimension parameters.
5.1 If a selection of product dimensions is required, you can let all product variants show first in the list.
Select Yes in the Show all variants first field.
5.2 You can have a confirmation shown if a product dimension is selected.
Select Yes in the Show confirmation field.
5.3 In the Shown item variant name field, you can select how to display the item variant name in an Anywhere app.
5.4 You can have the variant shown below the item ID.
Select Yes in the Show variant field.
5.5 You can have the retail variant ID shown in an Anywhere app.
Select Yes in the Show item variant ID field.
